After a good Matcha break my attention have been drawn toward a little street. No one was there. You could see the gate of what seemed to be a temple. It all felt a bit run down and you had to climb some stairs. I got curious and thought okay let’s go !

This is the Chourakuji temple. A remote temple where nobodies seems to go. The place had a special vibe to it. It was a bit run down , just by the forest.Β And I was alone. The temple had nothing special at first but the place had a special energy. I loved it.
Then I noticed some run down stairs. Why not go up and see.
This is the entrance of a hidden cemetery in the forest. This was cool. Lesson of the day. Go out there and listen to your gut feeling. Some places cann’t be find anyhow. You have to connect to youself to be able to find places that vibrate with you. Like this place with me.
The more I went up the more the tomb were special. It felt very mystical.

I’m always so happy to find places like this π I feel like a kid when this happen.
I continued my exploration after that and found another little trail. I wanted to be in that forest. This was the calling.

So goodΒ to have found that path in the forest. I was going up and up. I met a few hikers on the way. I felt in my element here.
At the top you will be reward by a wonderful view and a temple. The Seiryu-den temple.
This was the temple.

And this was the view.

Kyoto from above , what a cool perpective. You realize how big is actually this city. At first I thought Kyoto is a small quiet town with temples … But no , I mean look at the size. It’s one of the biggest city in Japan. But you dont feel the crowed so much. Japanese knows how to create harmony within space.
This site had another deck slightly higher. Feeling good.

And some nice gardens. A must go place in Kyoto if you want a good view of the city. Especially before sunset.
After a good day of walk it was time for an early dinner. I wanted to try a special place tonight but I realized you needed to book in advance. So I made the booking . You will hear soon about it π
Vegan ramen in Gion district. Cost 800 yen (6 euro) , served in 3 min and was filling plus delicious. What else would you need.
After a good diner it’s always nice to walk around and digest. I discovered the old streets of Gion by night. This place is just wonderful. It’s quiet , pretty , clean with many amazing food. You have to come to Kyoto to experience it. Photos wont give it justice.

I wish I had a girlfriend when I discover places like this. You just want to stop , have a great meal and talk about the world.

The Yasaka Pagoda by night.
Ah … what a sweet day it was. Kyoto is a healing places. The temples , the gardens , the people , the food , the streets… Everything here is meant to make you feel at your best. I could see myself living here.
I have only spended 3 days in Kyoto but I can start to feel the essence of it. And I like it so far. We can argue that it’s the “discovery high” , when everything feels good when it’s new. This is true but Kyoto has a stable and profound energy.Β Very very different than Tokyo for sure. I have met some people spending 2 weeks just here. I can understand why now.
This a place where you want to stop , alone or with some good friends. For something easy and pure.
Lot of love !
Marvellous
