Tokyo isn’t just about buildings and high end technologies. This is what I want to show you today by going to a secret little Valley very close from bustling downtown.
From just about 20 min train journey you can reach a little oasis of Green in Setagaya district.
Getting away for a few hours. So much to explore here. Feels like a kid in an infinite playground.
This is our spot.

Nice little walk along a river. It’s hard to believe that such a place exist close to downtown Tokyo. A good break from the city that is.
The area also have many other interesting points such has shrines , temples and exotic nature all around.

You can still spot the Maples tree autumn colors , a beautiful place. We even stop inside a small Buddhist temple. The area feels great and that is especially true when you live in such a Urban city. An ideal day trip to get your nature fix.
Back to civilisation. Thanks you Todoroki Valley !
Say hello to Overpriced Camembert cheese ! It cost 1400 yen in this supermarket so about 11.5 euro ! Five time the normal price hey. If you want to live in Japan don’t consider eating cheese often unless you are okay with such price tags ^^
Tokyo is a nice city. It has a good balance between Nature , Culture and has plenty sweet places to hang out. It’s also an expensive city to live in . My main expenses are Accomodation and Transportation. But remember that Tokyo is one of the most densely populated city on earth therefore at rush hours the main trains can be super packed ! I take the Chuo Line to get back home and this one is very uncomfortable at pick times. I have never seen anything like it. This experience can be funny at the beginning but for people that lives long term here it must be awfull ( especially in summer time …)
Food and drinks can be okay if you don’t go out so often (cheaper than France).
For next episode I want to show you the Cultural aspect of the city. See you for the next one people !
